The report is based on a message delivered to this receiving server, so it can examine how the message was generated and formatted, how it was routed, which mail server connected, and what actually arrived rather than relying on DNS-only checks.
It checks the real connecting IP, HELO name, envelope sender, header From address, message and MIME formatting, DKIM signatures, SPF result, DMARC alignment, and spam filter analysis.
